Madison's 1st Thanksgiving

Well, I think Thanksgiving might be Madison's FAVORITE holiday. John and I definitely have an EATER on our hands! She LOVES to eat ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!! She was standing underneath our feet the entire time we were cooking screaming because she saw all the food and wanted some. When it was finally time to eat, she was in HEAVEN!! We have not found a single food that she doesn't like. I sure hope it stays this way. Between she and John I will have no trouble cooking for them! :)
I didn't do very well with taking many pictures but here are a few I did take.
Aunt Leah reading her a story!
Madison LOVES my parents dogs. Dog was actually her first word.
Anxiously walking around waiting to eat!

Shoveling it in her mouth!

Wearing her A&M bib for game day! WHOOP, we won!

Eating a little of everything!

Walking

Madison took her first steps at 10 months and has improved greatly in the last month. She is very eager to get from place to place by walking only. She's still wobbly but so cute to watch. She actually does better than this video but I caught her at the end of the day when she was tired.

This video cracks me up!

Where have I been you ask...

The answer to that question is CANADA! Madison and I flew up on October 7th with John's mom and grandma. They stayed with us for a week and then headed home. We had a wonderful time with them. John was so glad his grandma got to spend sometime in the mountains and see some wildlife. Madison and I enjoyed the company during the day while John was at work. The past few weeks have been so nice. It's been great to be together as a family. We've enjoyed meeting John for lunch everyday, hanging out with new friends, shopping, going to the park and exploring new sites in Canada. Some highlights of our trip have been:
-going to Banff & Lake Louise -4th time! (amazing each time)
-getting a coffee in Banff early in the morning and going on an animal hunt
-seeing TONS of ELK (big ones )
-seeing a moose cross the street in front of us -having dinners with new friends
-seeing Madison take her FIRST steps :)
-John creating a new Saturday family tradition (he makes pancakes for the family!--Madison can out eat both of us! haha!)
-looking out the window each night as John comes home from work- Madison loves seeing him pull up and waves to him down below--it was so cute!
-waking up to snow on the ground and roofs
-just being together as a family and making memories
We all head home early Friday morning for Madison's FIRST Halloween!! I will post pics next week of our little BUMBLE BEE! :) Below are some pictures I've taken with my phone while we've been here. One of the reasons I haven't posted is because I'm not sure how to copy pictures from my camera to the laptop without taking them completely off my camera. I know that's so sad. I will add some Canada pictures next week when we are home.
Oh, it was funny to drive past an elementary school yesterday and see kids having outside recess in the pouring snow!!! In Houston, we would have canceled school altogether!! haha!!
This is what happens when she is out of pancakes!! haha!
Working out those legs! :)
Her new favorite toy! THE REMOTE!! She turned the volume up to 77 before we could get it from her. We tried buying her one from Toys R Us but she's a smart girl. It's not the same as mom and dads. We now learned to take a battery out and just let her play with it.
Having some cheese for a snack!
Loves looking out the window!

Helping dad spot animals in Banff. (we were on side streets!-- we don't normally let her ride out of the car seat)

Sorry all the pictures from my phone are Madison. Guess you can tell what's most important. :) I do have scenery, wildlife and other people on my camera.

Quick Learner

So, I decided I'd pull out a new toy and try to see if Madison would stand up and attempt to push it. Little did I know, it only took her 30 minutes before she was pushing it all over the place! I guess walking without help is NEXT!! So exciting!
