Berry Blends

Madison's birthday party isn't till this Saturday but I still wanted to do something special for her on her actual birthday. Since she LOVES ice cream, we decided to take her to Berry Blends. She knows the place well enough to scream when she sees the ice cream machines. It's so funny.
We also had a nice surprise from John when we got there. He had called in a gift card for us to use! It was very thoughtful and Madison LOVED the ice cream.
Yes, I'm a nerd! I took a picture of the sign! haha
She loves her ice cream!
Goofy!

Mom even gave me sprinkles since it's my birthday!

Look how much I've changed in 1 year!

WOW! Can't believe the change in 1 year!

1 Year

I had no idea that one year ago today my life would be changing so much! I remember the anticipation of delivery and what our sweet baby was going to look like. Never in a million years did I think the change would be so wonderful. I remember holding this sweet innocent little girl and thinking she's depending on me and waiting for me to guide her, teach her and love her. Everyone always tells you that having a baby brings so much change to your life. Well, they are right but I wouldn't trade that change for anything. I love being her mom. I love how much she needs me and how much she depends on me. I love how she feels safe when she is with me and I love her precious smile with her 1 little dimple. 1 year ago at 4:20pm my life changed forever and I couldn't be more blessed. I love this little girl more than I ever thought I was capable of loving. It's so hard to believe she's 1!!!

Happy Birthday Madison!

I love you with all my heart!

So much progress!

We have made so much progress since we first started going to the gym! It has taken a while but we are finally there. It's so hard as a first time stay-at-home mom to leave your baby especially when she cries. I've made myself do it 3 days a week so I'm able to work out. Madison has finally gotten to the point where she is eager for me to put her down on the floor so she can start playing with the other kids and toys. She doesn't even watch to see if I leave anymore! YAHOO! It makes it so much more enjoyable to work out! :) I love walking in to pick her up to find her playing with the other kids and not crying!! I guess consistency pays off!!
Here's how I found her this morning. Looks like she likes the big kids!! heehee!!
I commend all working moms that have to leave your baby all day. I struggle with an hour or two! I'm sure I will be totally different with the 2nd!

First cold

We almost made it a whole year without getting sick. We've been pretty lucky considering all the traveling we've done this year. Madison got her first cold which has made for a long week inside. She's actually been pretty good and cheerful all things considering. I took her to the pediatrician Thursday to find out she has a right ear infection too. On top of the cold and ear infection she has 3 molars coming in at the same time. 2 have broken the surface and the 3rd is extremely swollen. I know she must be in tons of pain. I'm glad we are getting all of this over with at once. Hopefully this means she be feeling great for her birthday and Christmas. :) Let's hope next week is a little better. :)

I'm a lucky girl!

After 6 1/2 years, I still find myself completely in love with this man. He truly has the greatest heart and is always fun to be around. He makes the best out of every situation and works extremely hard to provide a great life for our family. I often ask myself, "How did I get so lucky to win him over?" When times get hard and life gets crazy, knowing he's by my side makes things so much easier. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect partner and best friend to walk with me through this crazy amazing thing called "life!"
I love you John!
