Girls Weekend

I went on a much needed girls getaway this past weekend. Courtney, Liesl and I headed to the hill country to shop and try out some wineries. What a great time we had. It was my first time to be away from Madison for more than 1 night and I did pretty good. I definitely couldn't wait to get home and see her though. John enjoyed all the quality one on one time with her. It was a win win situation. :) Already looking forward to our trip next year.

Brianne turns 7

My niece turned 7 yesterday so we had a little family party for her. It turned out great and was lots of fun. I know Madison sure loves all the commotion when everyone's together.

Baptism

One of the things that I really wanted to do when John moved home was join a church and get Madison baptized. With traveling back and forth the past 3 years, we never had a church home. We've been very hit and miss which has really bothered me. After church hopping, we decided St. John's United Methodist Church in Richmond was the right place for us. So this past Sunday, we joined the church and had Madison baptized. It was a great Sunday with all our family there to share.

After church, we all went out for lunch!

Splash Pad

We went to our first splash pad this week and Madison had an ABSOLUTE blast. This by far is one of her favorite things to do. She is not confined to someone holding her in a pool and is free to run about and get wet. She's a very independent girl, so this was right up her alley.
