6 month check-up

We had our 6 month check-up and shots today! Madison weighs 15.14 lbs (50%) and is 26 1/4 inches (50-75%) long. The doctor says she looks great and was happy to hear she sleeps 12 hours straight at night! We're blessed to have such a healthy baby! Can't ask for more!

Sippy cup

Since it's SUPER hot I decided I'd put a little water in a sippy cup for Madison on the days we're outside lots. I just handed her the cup today for the first time in within seconds she had it by both hands and in her mouth correctly. What a smart little girl! :) It also was nice because it provided entertainment for a while. haha!

Shopping cart

I tried to put Madison is the shopping cart today. I think it's still a little too early. We went to Sam's and the baskets are actually made for 2 kids so it was hard to use my cover. It was a quick trip so she did pretty good and looked super cute. I might wait a few months before I pull it out again.

Rolling

Madison has never been a big roller until now! The past few days I've laid her on the floor and walked away to do something and when I come back she is across the room. She rolls herself as far as she can till she hits a dead end. I guess there is no more walking off and leaving her unattended. She actually thinks it's funny when she makes it across the room.

2 week trip

We had a great 2 week trip to Canada. My mom came the whole 2 weeks so I had help and someone to hang out with during the day! It was so nice! My dad flew up for 6 days in the middle and we made a weekend trip to Banff and Lake Louise. It was so nice to have a break from this Houston heat. You can't complain when the high is in the 70's. We were able to actually go on walks and to the zoo during the middle of the day! :) I do like longer days but I'm not sure I like them as long as they are in Canada. It gets light around 5am and doesn't get dark till 10:45pm!! It makes it hard to go to bed early and sleep in late! Here are some random pictures from our 2 weeks. I took over 200 so it's hard to choose! :)

Teeth

Madison has her 2 bottom teeth!! They are so cute!!! ! I've been trying REALLY hard to get a good picture that shows them but everytime I grab her bottom lip, she gets mad!! (you will see below) These are the best pictures I could come up with!

Lake Louise, Canada

This past Sunday we went back to Lake Louise. It was absolutely beautiful! The ice had melted and the water was crystal blue! Check out these gorgeous pics.
